The Hong Kong Philharmonic (HK Phil) is one of Asia's leading orchestras. From the 2012/13 season, Jaap van Zweden has become Music Director of the orchestra. The HK Phil annually touches the lives of over 200,000 music lovers through more than 150 performances including its extensive education activities for children and adults alike, and free concerts such as the popular Swire Symphony under the Stars, and regular broadcasts and telecasts, bringing the joy of classical music to the Hong Kong community. 鄭國江訪談實錄乃《鄭國江詞作手稿特藏》之延伸,以訪談形式記錄手稿特藏背後的故事。特藏載有詞人鄭國江於香港理工大學圖書館進行的訪談錄影片段,令手稿特藏內容更加豐富充實。錄影片段以六個主題分類,包括「詞人緣起」、「創作靈感」、「詞作特色」、「勵志詞人」、「兒歌作品」和「鄭國江詞作手稿特藏」。讀者可對詞人鄭國江如何入行、部份作品背景、本地流行詞作文化、以至香港粵語流行曲的歷史有所了解。 The Cheng Kok-kong’s Oral History Interview project is an extension of the "Cheng Kok-kong’s Lyric Manuscript Collection" to recall the stories behind the lyric manuscripts. The project includes interview recordings with Mr. Cheng Kok-kong at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Library, and it aims at enriching the content of the Manuscript Collection. The interview recordings are divided in to six categories, including “Becoming a Lyricist”, “Creations and Inspirations”, “Characteristics of Lyrics”, “The Inspirational Lyricist”, “Songs for Children” and “Cheng Kok-kong’s Lyric Manuscript Collection”. The content of the recordings includes how Cheng had become a lyricist, background of some of his lyrics, lyric-writing culture of local pop music, and Cantopop history in Hong Kong.

Intellectual Property Department was established on 2 July 1990. The Department took over from the Registrar General’s Department the responsibility for the registration of patents and trade marks for goods and for other related matters. The Director of Intellectual Property replaced the Registrar General as the Registrar of Trade Marks and Registrar of Patents. The Department also took over functions relating to copyright from the Attorney General’s Department. In 1998, the Department also became the Government’s civil legal advisor on intellectual property legal matters. This website covers the materials of trademarks, patents, designs, and copyright.

It provides free online access to current and past versions of consolidated legislation dating back to 30 June 1997 and PDF copies marked “verified copy” have official legal status. Electricity is generated at Lamma Power Station located at Po Lo Tsui of Lamma Island. The power station has a total installed capacity of 3,737MW made up of three 250MW coal-fired units, five 350MW coal-fired units, one 55MW gas turbines, four 125MW gas turbines, one 335MW combined cycle unit, one 345MW combined cycle unit, one 800kW wind turbine and one 1MW solar power system. Lamma Power Station provides a safe and reliable supply of electricity for more than 570,000 customers on Hong Kong Island and Lamma Island, and contributes to HK Electric’s world class reliability of more than 99.999%. Following the opening of Hong Kong's first wind power station, Lamma Winds, in 2006, an extension to the power station that burns the more environmentally friendly natural gas became operational the same year. In line with Government policy that aims to increase the use of gas, gas-fired generation has been increased to over 30% of the total output in 2010 when another gas-fired unit was put on use.
